Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve, in my opinion, is even more exciting than Christmas Day. I love the feelings of anticipation and the excitement in the air. Seth and I like to do Christmas gifts with the kids on Christmas Eve. We read the Christmas story from the Bible, and this year we will sing some Christmas songs that the kids have chosen. I have this neat little book that tells the background and meanings of many of the Christian Christmas Carols.
I took some pictures of the kids the other day around the Christmas trees (yes-I said trees!). I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas Eve and a beautiful Christmas Day tomorrow. Love you all and God Bless!!

Ice Skating

Saturday evening, we all went ice skating!!! Sounds like fun, huh? We went to Abilene, Tx (which is about 1 hour away) to skate. Dyess Air Force Base and Habitat for Humanity put on the 2nd annual Abilene Ice House Skating Rink. It is to raise money for Habitat for Humanity. It is an ice rink constructed at the zoo there in Abilene. Some days that it's open, it's a balmy 75 degrees outside. Saturday, it was about 45 degrees, so it really set the mood. Seth was the photographer; I skated a little and then cheered from the side; Jordan skated gracefully like an angel around the rink making sure to not fall, and Hunter was trying to set the record for the most falls in one hour. We had a great time and then went for dinner afterwards.
Christmas is almost here!!!
